Selection Process

• Selection is based on two stages: Written Examination (500 Marks) + Personality Test/Interview (100 Marks) = Total 600 Marks. Written Examination (Part-I) – 500 Marks:
• Paper-I (Code No. 1): General Medicine and Paediatrics – 250 Marks | 120 Questions (96 from General Medicine + 24 from Paediatrics) | Duration: 2 hours
• Paper-II (Code No. 2): Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Preventive & Social Medicine – 250 Marks | 120 Questions (40 from each part) | Duration: 2 hours
• Both papers are completely Objective Type (Multiple Choice Answers). Question papers are in English only.
• Negative Marking: 1/3rd (0.33) of marks assigned to that question will be deducted for each wrong answer. No penalty for unanswered questions.
